Industrial designer Muhammad Imran, who earlier tried to green your outing on the open water with a solar-powered concept boat dubbed Sea Raider, is back with a new concept for the road. Dubbed EEL, the concept three-wheeled vehicle is designed to be powered by a hybrid engine running either on electricity or bio-ethanol.

The concept features a lightweight construction and an aerodynamic body that maximizes fuel efficiency. The compact vehicle has enough room for a driver and one passenger. The EEL has been designed to lean when the driver makes a turn for better control.

The electric vehicle can be recharged using a conventional wall socket and can also use the bio-ethanol engine as a range extender. The designer doesn’t state the top speed or the range the vehicle can go on a single charge, but considering the shape and the use of lightweight materials, we’re expecting it to be better than most NEVs available today.
