Cruise Car Inc. will showcase a new range of solar electric hybrid vehicles on Capitol Hill in Washington DC on Earth Day. The company claims that solar cars are the best way to demonstrate the ecological and economical benefits of operating solar powered low speed vehicles, and Earth day is the best time to show how we all can benefit from the sun.

The company mostly develops NEVs, but has a full line for of solar cars which can be used in golf courses, college campuses, municipalities, military bases, corporate parks, resorts and various federal agencies. Since they have an electric engine these vehicles don’t pollute the environment and the solar chargers make sure that you don’t have to spend even a single dollar for fuel. However, the cars can be made street legal and driven on roads with speeds posted 35mph or lower, which might be too slow for those in love with the supercars of today.
