French luxury brand Hermès and Monaco-based yacht maker Wally have teamed together to create a new company WHY (Wally-Hermès Yachts) and the team is designing a new boat that will offer luxury and sustainability in the same package.

The boat is contained in a triangular hull measuring 58m x 38m. The interior of the boat features water resistant leather. The yacht, which took years to build, has been tested in Gotebourg, Sweden in a specialized tank testing facility to see how its systems will perform in open waters.

The boat carries solar panels on a surface area of 900-square-meters that generate electricity which for the boats electronic systems and also assists the hybrid diesel/electric engine.
