Electric GreenGT LMPH2 will participate in the upcoming 2012 Le Mans

The 24 hours of Le Mans has been the world’s oldest sports car race in endurance racing, and numerous conceptions starting right from the animated Lightning McQueen to modernistic Lampo 3 has been inspired by its eminence. And latest in the line of such inspired cars is the GreenGT LMPH2, an all-electric racer set to take part in the experimental race class of the upcoming 2012 Le Mans.

Conceived by Swiss automaker GreenGT, the evolved style of the automobile fuses the expansive form of a F1 car with the subtlety of a conventional sports car. But beyond the classy looks, the electric car will also have an additional option of utilizing low emission hydrogen fuel, with incorporation of a 12 kg of hydrogen in its 700 bar high-pressure tanks. Thus the combined fuel power gives an accentuated output of 300 kW.

The announcement of this zero emission conception’s participation was made by the governing body of the venerable racing event – the Automobile Club de L’Ouest.
