Egg shells repurposed to make beautiful flower vases

The creative bent of mind makes people conceive absurd ideas. Give them any object lying around and they will surely put them to use, one way or the other. One such idea is using egg shells as flower vases. Generally speaking if I were given an egg shell and asked to make something from it, I would have simply painted it and added sparkles, or something even weirder. But, it is amazing how a blogger, Lucy used egg shells in their original form to make the most beautiful vases I have ever seen.

Celebrate Spring With Delicate Bud Vases Made From Eggshells

In fact the vases are specifically meant for buds. Lucy simply creates them by chipping a hole at the top of the shell. The egg is then drained out and the base is secured to a mirror with the help of candle wax. Finally the vase is filled with water and buds or flowers are inserted inside.

Lucy chose to use rose buds only, as they complimented well with the natural color of the egg shell, making the most interesting and romantic contrast you would have seen. They are delicate and pleasant, suitable for all occasions. Place a couple of them in a tray and decorate any corner of your house, enjoying their vibrancy. Repurposing of stuff has been given a new dimension with these vases. Anyone can make them at home and it does not even consume time beyond a few minutes.
