Eco Factor: Electricity powered concept urban transport system.
With the rise in population and the increase of the number of vehicles on the roads, futuristic vehicles need to shift the way we move, by taking up less space per individual while in transit. The energy required for the system to work should also be as green as possible to ensure better environmental health. Anton Grimes thinks that he has solved this puzzle by developing a green urban transit system that depends on a scooter he calls the Link Urban Modular Scooter.
The idea is to use existing light poles to install modular charging stations, to which the scooters can be plugged to when either they not being used or they’re lacking juice in their batteries. Any commuter could remove the scooters from the socket and drive it to his destination. Once there he can plug it to the nearest dock for recharging or for use by some other individual.
The Dark Side:
The designer makes no statement on how the authorities will track these scooters when on road. Without any tracking mechanism, the scooters might never reach the docks for recharging.
