Eco Factor: Energy-efficient music system by Bose to help increase the range of 2011 Chevy Volt.
Bose has announced a new innovation for the 2011 Chevy Volt – a music system that will be able to increase the performance of the Volt’s electric engine, giving it 40 extra miles per charge. The system will be 30% smaller, 40% lighter and uses 50% less energy when compared with the other systems developed by Bose. The company claims that reducing the size and the weight of the system will have no effect on the overall quality of music Bose is known for.
The Dark Side:
The new system will probably add much to the overall cost of the car. However, since the changes come for good, we don’t think many people will mind those extra dollars.
