Eco Factor: Kitchen cabinetry and base units made from recyclable materials.

Italian manufacturer Valcucine has developed the world’s first recyclable modular kitchen having a structure made from recycled aluminum, consuming just 20% of the energy required to obtain primary aluminum. Dubbed the “gReenaissance,” the kitchen cabinetry is made in glass and aluminum that could be recycled easily to prevent anything from being littered.

Apart from recyclable kitchen cabinetry, a new glass base unit known as the INVITRIUM has also been developed, which the company claims is easy to assemble and disassemble since it’s connected using mechanical joints. The stunning combination of materials and the use of recyclable materials connected via mechanical joints not only promise easy installation but also reduce the amount the materials required dramatically. The “gReenaissance” is scheduled to debut at Fuorisalone 2009.
