Eco Interiors: Sky Planter allows you to hang plants from the ceiling

Eco Factor: Water saving planters need water twice a month.

How about hanging plants from the ceiling instead of those old and boring chandeliers? Don’t worry, we are not trying to soil your furniture in doing so. All we are encouraging here is water conservation, no matter how many millimeters you can save in the process. Designed by Patrick Morris, this unique planter, called the Sky Planter, comes with a unique reservoir system that allows you to feed water directly to plant roots without any dripping, in turn allowing you to replace that old and dirty chandelier with a nice little plant.

Believing that there would be many interested in having an ever growing chandelier, Patrick, along with his brother, has formed Boskke – a company that would sell the Sky Planter for $75 to $195. Since all you have to do is to water the plants once a month, it might reduce your water bill by a few hard earned cents.

The Dark Side:

The plants would grow and would finally become a nuisance once they block your way. Moreover, watering a plant by climbing a ladder can make things even worse.
