Eco Factor: Boeing 747’s engine used in a luxury bed.

Recently we got to know about some buffs converting an old Boeing 747 into a luxury hostel, in a way saving it from being broken down and polluting the environment in not one but many ways. If you can’t visit the Air Hostel, why not have a jet-inspired sleep right in your own bedroom. MotoArt, the company renowned for converting vintage aviation parts into stunning fixtures for home and offices, is out there to help you with it.

The company has recently designed a bed that uses an authentic 747 engine nacelle cowling at the headboard. To ensure a comfortable sleep, the jet-bed is combined with an 84” diameter round mattress and box spring to ensure a perfect fit. The nacelle headboard is then finished with glossy acrylic automotive paint.

The Dark Side:

Apart from the jet engine’s nacelle cowling, everything else in the bed comes from conventional and not recycled sources.
