Eco Factor: Appliance turns waste food scraps into garden fodder.

Industrial designer Ken Jasinski has designed an organic waste composter, which can turn the dirty and stinking kitchen waste into fodder for your garden. Aimed towards Tupperware, the composter wants you to add a mix of green and brown organic materials in the ratio of 1:5, add some water to activate decomposition and occasionally turn the pile to expose air and escalate the decomposition process.

The roto-molded outer shell of the composted provides insulation to keep the compost pile warm and active. When removed, the stamped and welded aluminum inner shell can function on its own, but with more exposure to sunlight. Though the composter is not as user-friendly as one would really want, but it does make sure that at the end of it all, you’ve done something great for your garden and the environment as well.
