Generating renewable energy is easy and fun provided you don’t want to power your home with its feeble output. Instructables user FeedTheGrid knows that all it takes to generate electricity at home is a trashed motor, which should be working in reverse order. The DIYer has converted an old table into an art display, which also generates electricity for his electronic gear.
The system, known as the “Green Twist Machine,” can power radios, lights, cellphones, PMPs and other similar devices as well. FeedTheGrid states that the spinning operation generates up to 5-volts DC, 190mA of electricity and if fitted with some photographic patterns, can also be used to create amazing spin-art.
