Eco-friendly Kumho Epoch concept car – Completely Futuristic!

Korean tire giant Kumho has taken some free time to design an eco-friendly racing concept car dubbed the Kumho Epoch. The concept is designed by Kumho’s in-house designer, Rob Dolton.

According to the designer the ecofriendly concept car features a chassis made from Bamboo and its lightweight body panels are created from recycled tire tread rubber. The single-seater in theory is powered by Maglev or Magnetic Levitation.

This completely futuristic concept also features innovative tire technology (which is no surprise as it is designed by none other than Kumho) called the EAP or Electro Active Polymer that allows the treat and even shape of the tires to be altered by passing an electric current through the rubber. This all is achieved by positioning of magnets on the hubs and within the wheel rims allowing the shape and other characteristics of the tire to be altered to suit all driving conditions.

It’s always great to see concept cars, but this one is totally futuristic and I cannot wait for the company to develop a prototype. Surely, such cars will rule the future!
