EcoFactor: Detects moisture levels in the soil and waters as per the changing conditions.

Most irrigation sprinklers are used as part of a sprinkler system, consisting of various plumbing parts. Pipes are connected to the water source via plumbing fittings and the control system opens and closes valves to provide water on a schedule. However, designers Aydin Oztoprak & Ozgur Ruhi Ulvan’s latest high-tech creation Aquarius beats the other sprinklers with its stunning looks and advanced features.

The stylishly crafted Aquarius has a circular disc on top and conical shape at the bottom. The shape of the device helps it easily blend in to the lower surface. The solar panel mounted on top optimally utilizes the sun’s energy and adds on to the appeal of the design, while the bottom includes humidity sensors. The sensors attached at the shaft help in moisture detection and adjust to the changing condition of the soil. Thus, only the right proportion of water is used, unlike other sprinklers where a tremendous amount of water is wasted. The whole system also comes with a remote control, which displays the activities. Agricultural irrigation consumes a lot of water; hence, Aquarius is a boon as it helps to save a lot of water which would otherwise get wasted!

The Dark Side:
Aquarius doesn’t have many demerits, but the fact that it purely works on solar energy might make it slightly inefficient during a slight change in weather.
