Eco-conscious consumers reaching for green items for their pets
Trying to cater to the needs of your pet is always an attempt worth appreciating, if one succeeds what better? American’s have their pets groomed roughly equivalent to a grandchild, owners want their pets to be in the best of conditions and health, which is the reason why an industry in sustainable green pet products is projected to reach a size of $1 billion by 2009.
Pet owners prefer cooking for their pets but it’s not mandatory that whatever we intake is equally beneficial for the pets as well. There are products like barley dog and barley cat, the only pet supplements made with organically grown Barley Grass juice. Dogs and cats instinctively eat fresh green, which is rich in vitamins, minerals and enzymes. The problem with eating whole grass is that each blade is covered with microscopic barbs that can irritate your pet’s stomach. Now you can give your pets these green nutritional benefits without those pesky barbs. The combination of barley grass and other natural ingredients tastes genial; your pets will feel that they are in for a treat!
Already, some 70 million pet owners in America spend more than $40 billion a year on their animals – enough money to build about 23 space shuttles, according to the American Pet Products Manufacturers’ Association. Pets have different dietary needs as per their age, hence it is important that we give them what they can digest or what is best suitable for them and that is the reason why this industry is growing so much.
