Eco Factor: Low-emission car powered by a hybrid engine.

Velozzi has finally revealed the renderings of its next-gen plug-in hybrid crossover, SOLO, which the company plans to make available by 2012. The car will be powered by a plug-in hybrid engine and will make use of lightweight materials like carbon fiber and nanotubes to better its mpg.

The company claims that the sports car will make use of the micro turbine technology, which will enable the drivers to run the car on any fuel that includes gasoline, diesel, ethanol, methanol, natural gas, butanol and biodiesel.

The SOLO aims to achieve over 100mpg with some decent numbers on the performance side as well, which includes an expected top speed of 130mph and a 0-60 time of six seconds.
