Eco Factor: Zero-emission electric car concept powered by solar energy.
Now since we are quite sure that cars of the future will be powered by green energy sources and won’t often need a human behind the wheel, the design of the cars which will be used in the future will be completely different from the ones we are accustomed to. Car designer Christopher Pollard is one such designer whose designs show us the world of tomorrow, and his latest creation is not surprisingly a unique car dubbed the Jaguar Mark XXI.
The zero-emission car is powered by photovoltaic panels that are installed all over the body of the vehicle. These panels lift and face the sun when the vehicle is not being driven. The energy generated by the solar panels is stored in the vehicle’s onboard battery pack, which helps power it when the sun isn’t shining.
Since the driver isn’t needed in the vehicle, the car’s interiors can be designed to suit the requirements, which is this case consists of inward-facing seats that create the setting for a sociable living space.
