Eco Factor: Zero-emission concept vehicle designed to be powered by wind.
After designing one too many cars that harness solar power for a clean ride, designers are now figuring out ways to use wind as another source of renewable fuel to power cars. While GreenBird holds the record for the fastest wind-propelled vehicle developed till date, auto designer Stefan Radev is out there with a concept vehicle, which with its advanced wind-harvesting sail can smash that record if the vehicle is ever developed.
Designed for the BMW brand, the Blue Dynamics is incorporated with three wheels and a movable sail that can adjust to the wind direction, giving the driver the best possible thrust. The car won’t be easy to drive on a congested highway, and that’s not what the designer wants from it either. The vehicle has been designed for flat open spaces like deserts or beaches where harnessing wind won’t be much of a problem for the car.
