Eco Factor: Artwork made from sustainable wood bent using sustainable techniques.
Eco-minded artist Charles Whinney is one of the world’s most renowned experts on steam bending techniques. The artist has crafted a functional piece of artwork from a locally sourced wood, which was steam bent to give it the desired shape.
The designer claims that most wooden sculptures use wood that isn’t locally sourced and hence cause a lot of pollution in transporting it to the desired area. Using locally sourced wood and the “green” bending process has resulted in the development of the Rolling Summer House, which can either be placed in your garden as a piece of ecofriendly art, or can be used by your kids during their “green” playtime.
