Eco Factor: Sustainable multiple-use complex for third phase of Stockley Business Park.
Commissioned by Stockley Park Consortium to develop the master plan for the third phase of Stockley Business Park, JAC Architects along with Arup Landscape have come up with a multiple-use complex that redefines the approach to business park design.
The design takes inspiration from constraints and the influences of the existing site. The mixed-use development comprises 25,000-square-meters of office space, 26,000-square-meters of hotel space that carries a 450 room hotel that will carry leisure facilities and energy center, an 18,135-square-meter data center, a single story parking lot and about 3500-square-meter mixed-use building accommodating office, retail and other services.
The master plan has been developed to reduce the complex’s impact on the environment. The building will re-use gray water and surface water for creation of ecological wetlands. The layout will also encourage people to either walk or cycle to keep the ambiance green.
