Eco Factor: Solar and wind powered installation purifies air and provides cool air.
With the number of actual trees that are being cut down for wood and to provide space for urban architecture, researchers have focused their attention on artificial and synthetic trees which perform the same functions as a natural tree does but can also generate renewable electricity to power the planet. Architecture and Vision are also focusing on the problem and have come up with the AirTree installation.
Just like a natural tree, the AirTree generates an active exchange with the environment by using water and moss. These natural processes purify the air around the installation, the quality of which is displayed by a color-coded mechanism atop the structure.
In addition to purifying the air around, the AirTree structure is designed to function as an ecological oasis, which generates electricity using solar and wind generators to provide fresh and cool air during the heat of the summer.
