This is not exactly going to make a roof on top of your home, but it would make the Shingles and the Siding out of aluminum cans, which could be either your old beer cans or even soft drink cans. The point is that you need old Aluminum can to make the roof and it may not serve as much of a permanent structure, but maybe you could use it for your shed and also your pet hose. It is a bit of a job to do and obviously take heck of a lot of time, but when you get it done it is absolute gratification.
Basically this is the outlay of how to do it yourself. Using scissors or tin snips cut the ends off an aluminum soda/beer can and cut down the middle of the can to make a flat rectangular piece of aluminum. Then you lay the flat piece into the forming die and press it by stomping on it or hitting it with a hammer. So this is no easy work and surely not for those who hesitate to sweat.
