Designer proposes sustainable dormitory for the architecture school in San Diego

This amazing and eco friendly proposal has been designed by Brandon Martella to create a diverse use of dormitory facility, which will be planned at the New School of Architecture and Design. This school will be located at San Diego in California and features three blocks that hold a set of modules. This will be created inside a fluid ribbon of vertical community and as per the plans will accommodate 360 students from the same school. The vertical sprawl, which represents greenscape, runs straight from Balboa to Bay Park alongside the Park Blvd. It separates the campus of the new school.

At the southern side of the building, a vertical hiking path has been integrated, making the design far more effective. It gives a wonderful opportunity to those adventurers who love participating in such activities while using the cityscape just like a playground. The building showcases an amazing blend of green spaces and local shrubbery that create beautiful walkways and acts as a shade for reducing solar gain. Other than this, the entire building becomes a unique attraction that demands a day’s time to be explored completely.

This spectacular building features a coffee shop and brick-based marketplace to make purchases for supplies. This marketplace is located at the fourth floor where various retail outlets will also be made available. Go halfway up to the building and your trip to explore this fascinating place will still remain incomplete, but the scenic beauty is worth every attention.

While making the three-block hike, all you have to do is to use the final walkways to reach at the top of the building or at the highest points of the city where you’ll get breathtaking panoramic views of San Diego.
