Cutting Edge concept harnesses solar energy to make cutting utensils safe

CuttingEdge

The picture shown above is not from any advanced gaming console. It is an concept design of the advanced kitchen device, designed by Nicholas Blackburn. The main distinguishing feature of this design is that it is developed for all ambient lighting conditions. That is if there is no sufficient light in the kitchen, then the LED attached to the device will provide light to the appropriate location, so that you don’t end up with bleeding hands.

This device includes a set of solar panels that help generate renewable energy to power the LED lights. The device can also be hooked up to the mains to power the LED light. The designed proposed the use of coconut shell for producing the device, which will help better its eco credentials. The utensils in the concept have been designed with inductive charging capabilities. Once charged the utensils can direct illumination to the place you need most. The product has been designed for use in low light conditions where using utensils like knives can be dangerous.
