connecticut clean energy fundA park powered by fuel cell! Yes, a 10-megawatt fuel cell park — the largest in the country — is to be built in Bridgeport’s Brownfield site in Connecticut. This project, after completion, will be capable of powering over 9,300 households with eco-friendly energy.

The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) has signed a loan agreement with Bridgeport Fuel Cell Park, LLC (BFCP) for pre-development funding of the project. To fund the early stages of renewable energy projects, a loan of up to $500,000 is being sanctioned.

This project will be feeding power into the New England electric grid from clean energy sources. The leading manufacturer and developer of fuel cells, FuelCell Energy, Inc. (FCE) of Danbury, Connecticut will be providing the project’s five fuel cells.
