Scientists to develop ‘game changing’ carbon neutral fuel technology

A UK university-led team of scientists is to develop a reactor that converts CO2 into fuel so efficiently it could offset every year more than three times the amount of carbon produced by Britain. The team led by Edinburgh-based Heriot Watt University has won a grant worth £1.2 million from the Government’s main scientific research funding agency, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), to carry out the research. It will look to make ‘photo-catalytic reductions,’ which use solar energy to create common fuels from CO2, into highly efficient processes. The team estimates their high-efficiency photo-reactors could produce enough fuel to offset 700 million tonnes of carbon in the [...]

Earth4energy: a true energy saver

Earth4energy: what is it exactly? Do you wish to reduce your monthly electricity bills? Surely most of you reading this will nod their heads in affirmation as saving money on bills are something that is wished by everyone. What is the relation between saving money on electricity bills and earth4energy you might ask then there is indeed a very deep connection between the two as the former will be difficult to attain without the latter. Before going deep into the topic let us shed some light on what is earth4energy? Earth4energy is primarily a detailed guided procedure to develop your very own solar or wind ability generator at your office [...]

Benefits of Solar Battery Chargers

If you make use of a portable solar battery charger, you have already taken the very first step down the road to recognizing the value of the power generated by the sun as a possible means for energy. Those few individuals who are not aware about the utility of solar power should make an active effort to bear out the responsibility that has been handed over to them. Batteries which are capable of being recharged or more likely the solar battery have turned out to be a great substitute actually for throwing the use-and-throw batteries into waste dumps. Portable Power Solar battery chargers are generally portable and are almost as [...]

MIT researchers test carbon sequestering ceramic membrane technology

In what is a new twist, researchers are claiming that one of the ways to reduce CO2 emissions may be to produce pure carbon dioxide. The claim applies to factories that rely on fossil fuels. If pure CO2 is produced, then greenhouses gases – once isolate

Researchers develop diagnostic technique based on lotus leaf design

We seem to be progressing into an age where things are being built on smaller scales. This is especially important for medical science as the smaller the equipment, the farther it can probe into the human body, getting around obstacles that stand in the w
