Bringing the African jungles alive in your home with bottle caps!

Festive season is in full swing and if not all of us, then at least most of us are left with a truck load of bottles and of course bottle caps. Now I will not discuss the nature of the bottles that are left over as I’m just concerned with the caps. Yes, the useless bottle caps are now finally of great use. Well, not exactly great, but then at least you need not throw them away in to the garbage can. This innovative piece of art work brings a new meaning for the word ‘creation’.

Sure, God created the most beautiful stuff on the planet and there is nothing that man has created that can possibly matches it. The bottle caps Giraffe is not the real thing, but it is pretty good. Moreover a real Giraffe would never fit in to out apartment. So that makes this all the more better. Sure it is not the finest piece of art work you will ever see, but it is not designed to be just art. In fact, it just helps you save from adding more to the trash can and helps you keep the planet that tad bit cleaner and greener.

I suppose it is more an idea and an inspiration than a product or a piece of art in itself. It is a part of SAAM’s folk art collection and does have a very nice look to it. I suppose these days bottle caps art is also classified under ‘Folk’, but then it is hard to find any other category for it. Maybe one should call it “Environment Art” as it really does the message of reduce, reuse and recycle. Nice way to convey a wonderful message and of course when a piece of unique work comes with it, then all the more better!
