The Mega Structure:

The reputed international firm TFP Farrells working with other esteemed organizations such as BIAD, ARUP and MVA, have conceived the designs and conception of the Z15 Tower – proposed to be Beijing’s new tallest building. Proposed to feature more than 120 levels and more than half a kilometer in height, it is certainly supposed to ‘rule’ the already bedecked Beijing skyline. It will be located in the newly developed part of the Beijing Central Business District, in the east of the city. This sleek structure has been planned to be a ‘mixed use’ high rise – comprising of 60 floors of Grade-A office space, 20 floors of serviced apartments and approximately 20 floors of 300-key hotel facilities.

What makes it Mega?

This bold design epitomizes the very phrase “monumentally ambitious”. Modest estimations suggest that the Z15 Tower will be offering more than 300,000sqm of high-class facilities and services. The structure also proves to be an integral cornerstone for the grand plan of a 30 hectare expansion of the Beijing CBD. This expansion is supposed to stately feature – 2,000,000sqm of office space, six-star hotels, luxury serviced apartments and high-end retail that connects to the existing metro station and adjacent shopping mall. So basically the whole plan truly and utterly embodies the impression of being ‘Mega’.

Eco Credentials:

The collaborative group have their eyes set on utilizing the very latest of sustainable technology, materials and engineering as well as architectural concepts. Plans are also being incorporated for including a green ‘belt’ of trees and plants around the Tower.
