Bizzarrini Veleno biohydrogen powered supercar for the year 2030

The first look at Bizzarrini and it looks like a car that has just landed from space and possibility is, if you open its doors, aliens will walk out of it. But, the fact is that this car is simply a futuristic concept car, aimed for the year 2030. Desigend by Borys Dabrowski, he designed it as his final year project at the Coventry University. Through the project Borys also wanted to pay homage to car designer and automotive engineer Giotto Bizzarrini and therefore named his deign after him.

Bizzarrini Veleno Concept

Coming to its space craft looks, the shape of the concept car was inspired by poison dart frogs. The name ‘Veleno’ is Italian for venom. These two combined together make it obvious why the car design is centered on the amphibian theme with all those eerie green lights. The main structure of the car is made out of CentrAL, a material being researched for use in aircrafts. CentrAL is an incredibly strong, lightweight and fatigue resistant material made of layers of aluminum and glass fiber.

The car will be powered by an electric motor and a biohydrogen reactor. The hydrogen for the car will be generated from special hybrid algae with extraordinary capacity for producing hydrogen, unlike ordinary algae.

The wheels of the electric car nothing like you’ve ever seen or thought about. Instead, a single wheel at each corner, there are a number of curved rollers that can make it laterally, forward, backwards and also rotate at 360 degrees.

The opening mechanism of the doors is similar to that way flowers petals open. The interior is absolutely in sync with the outside. It is a three seater car, with two up front for the driver and a passenger and one more passenger seat further back. The dash panel lacks any physical instrumentation, which leads to the possibility that it might feature heads up display.
