A combination of bicycle and taxi concepts has given birth to this environment-friendly ‘BicyTaxi’. Unlike ordinary taxis having 4 wheels and doors, this innovative vehicle has 3 wheels and no doors. And importantly, it is powered by human force and not fuel.
You can better address it as the American version of the Asian bicycle taxis — tuk tuk – having no engine, but built with the same concept. You can spot some of these eco-friendly man-powered vehicles at New York City.
But, when the vehicle is too loaded and the driver has to pedal uphill, it can be powered by a small engine that is not only battery-powered, but that too, can be charged with the help of solar panels fitted on the BicyTaxis garage.
