Barber turns hair into 2012 Olympics themed replicas

We talk a lot about how artists and designers across the globe are constantly recycling and reusing materials to create awareness and at the same time display some amazing art work. A barber in Beijing named Huang Xin might not be too bothered about either recycling or reuse from an eco standpoint. But, he sure does know how to turn chopped hair into works of art. Considering his profession, he obviously has no shortage of raw material and all of it is for free. So, at some point Huang Xin might have thought, why not craft a few models out of all this hair lying around.

Olympic hairdos

While it is easy to form an idea, the harder part is obviously crafting the replicas. Xin has now created many replicas that are all based on the 2012 London Olympics. These include stadiums, statues of Queen Elizabeth II, UK Prime Minister David Cameron and a lot more. In short, it is London 2012 with a hairy twist and it took over one and half year for Xin to get his models finished.

So, do not assume that it was just patching up a bit of hair. The stadiums do look pretty cool and they even seem to have small bulbs inside to mimic the lighting. Xin would obviously want his work displayed in London or at one of the Olympic venues. And one guy is really happy with all this.
