Eco Factor: Livable structures crafted from trashed liquid containers.
Recycling shipping containers into prefabricated living units is not a new concept, and we have frequently reported about the latest designs. Designers over at Aristide Antonas have something more unique for us – The Keg Apartments. These unconventional livable spaces have been crafted entirely from trashed liquid containers.
The apartments have been designed in two versions including the units where the trailers have been detached from the car and used as a stable residence, or left attached and used more like a mobile home. Windows would be carved out of the metal structures and used as points of entry. Large windows and doors can be carved at the front end facing the car, enabling the users to move freely within the structure.
