There are many organizations across the globe that chose print advertisements to spread the message of preservation of nature. The pictures look like a beautiful pieces of art at first, but on second glance, these loud and expressive campaigns are an arrogant take at the rising concerns of environmentalists. 1. WWF Lungs Before It’s Too Late

The print advertisement shows forest cover in the form of lungs and is a visual reminder of the importance of trees in our lives. As per the advertisement, the forest cover has been compared to lungs. Just like lungs are essential respiratory organs in humans, the tress act like one for our earth. They take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen, which is essential for human and animal survival. Depleting forest cover in turn means dipping fresh oxygen supply, which may prove to be quite dangerous in the future.

It shows a hand which is getting submerged in water. The advertisement has a very catchy slogan that manages to send across an apt message. It says, ‘We are drowning/Rescue us from global warming.’ It was released in the year 2008 and was done by Daehong Communications advertising agency for a Global Warming brand named Green Korea. It encourages people to take adequate steps, which may include growing trees, carpooling and turning off electricity supply when not required. This will bring down the affects of global warming and will also help maintain the average temperature of the earth.

The attention-grabbing picture is trying to stir people, which will force them to come up and sign a petition. The pictures are provocative and will be a great reason for serious discussions on societal issues.
