A new cremation alternative, boil the corpse!

resomation1

British authorities are advocating methods such as cremation over burials because of space reasons. A British company now feels that cremating dead can damage the environment as harmful fumes are released while burning a body. The company known as Resomation is now providing possible means to boil a body instead of burning it to ashes.

In the process also known as Resomation, the body is encased in a silk coffin and submerged in water mixed with potassium hydroxide. It is then heated to 302 degrees Fahrenheit, which rapidly turns it into white dust.

During cremation the body is heated to about 2,192 degrees Fahrenheit, letting off harmful fumes such as Mercury. Resomation has stated that resomation is a much faster and an eco-friendlier way that too costs the same as a cremation process that is $600.

About a thousand bodies in the U.S. have already been processed with resomation.
