Best hot solar powered dresses for green fashionistas

From the sexy hot bikinis to the outrageous special suits that will give you the look of a Martian or even Elvis if you wear it right, this is the list of the best of the best when it comes to letting solar wear walk in to your wardrobe. If you are looking to go solar and shout out that message to the world, this awesome collection of solar fabric will do it for you. If this collection is a part of your wardrobe then the sun never stops shining on your energy needs and I bet your little gadgets never run out of charge. Hot bikinis, sexy swimsuits, illuminating suits and a matching hat all wait for you on the inside… Do I need to say more?

Super Hot Solar Bikinis

This had to win hands down as being the best thing to happen to solar energy. You are on the beach and your iPod runs out of charge and you can just walk up to that sexy diva wearing the solar bikini and ask her if you could get a recharge… Awesome! Its inventor “Andrew Schneider” (a brilliant man indeed) came up with this bright idea as a part of his “iDrink Project”. It even comes with a USB that chills soft drinks! Now, obviously the solar cells on the bikini generate the power. Strap it on the likes of Angelina Jolie and you have the best promotion of green energy ever!

Solar Panel Bra

You saw the title and that simple is about it when it comes to this one. I must agree that maybe (just maybe) I am a bit partial in my priorities, but really I don’t think you can blame me on that. Coming from the Japanese, this seems very unorthodox and unlike them, but hey, who are we to stop them from growing green! A nice touch though is the bra being made of organic cotton cloth made completely without the use of pesticides. There is more though as the bra has even a pad to store something like say… beer, vodka! Green is for geeks? Really?

Solar Swimsuit at its seductive best

This amazingly beautiful swimsuit is clad with solar panels so that it can heat it up when you take a dip. Of course, that is not the first thing you notice about it though. Triumph International, the German based world’s leading manufacturer of lingerie, displayed the solar swimsuit at “Triumph Fashion Cup” in Valencia, Spain. It is hot, it is black and it makes its own power- just can’t complain.

Willy Bogner’s solar powered ‘Private Space Suit

I hear all the boos echoing loud. Maybe it is just my own mind booing me on this, but we have spent enough time on the hot beaches with the swimsuits and had to get away and cool down a bit. Moreover, this really is the cosmic version of the solar power. Fashion designer Willy Bogner has put solar-powered lights in ski suits. The outfits were in Munich, Germany, as part of the city’s bid to host the Winter Olympics in 2018. So it is not designed to welcome the Martians with sign language!! I’m disappointed.

Earthman Suit: Solar sustenance

This is no ordinary suit. Named Earthman, this suit is self-contained, self-sustaining bio-environment survival. The suit features a terrarium backpack with organic earth, plants and solar-powered electronics. In theory, it can maintain a human in oxygen free, contaminated or otherwise extreme environments. In outer space too! Really love the sustainable concept and design.

Solar clad outfits for the army

An all-new high-tech fabric is to be used in order to incorporate the solar-powered batteries into the cloth of the soldiers’ uniforms. This technique, while meeting the power requirements of an average US soldier (88 AA batteries), would also go a considerable way towards decreasing the weight associated with such batteries. It also would help civilians when in need of a quick recharge and that again is power in the green way without any extra effort!

Elena Corchera’s dazzling solar designs

This is not as hot and sexy as the bikinis and the swimsuits, but beauty always outlasts momentary lust and obviously looks a lot more graceful and elegant on all occasions. Elena Corchera not only makes solar studded clothes but also makes them in the most elegantly beautiful way. Her unique collection of garments known as “We Will Become Silhouettes” incorporates organic solar cells. Have I mentioned that they are elegant and beautiful? I could not stress enough.

Bogner’s Sun-Shine Denim Jacket

Bogner is back with another solar outfit and takes another place on the big list. This is probably the best of the lot for the guys as it is cool, it is denim and it is something you can wear everyday and still look very normal and simple. It makes the list for its simple and regular design which surely made this damn popular. I still like Denim Blue though.

Solar powered hat with a fan

Now you can use the sunshine to keep your head cool and relaxed! This one is especially for the English who love their hats, but then with their almost always gloomy skies, it may not be much of a help. You can put it on when at the beach and get both shade and some much needed cool.

Blueline’s solar clothing

Chinese company Blueline is taking the solar fabric to the East and that surely earns them a spot in this list, even if it is the final one. The key to the success of the product is that it serves a function, while advertising the wearer’s love for the environment. Hopefully the east will catch up soon with the west!
